Bangkok 25th - 29th April 08

Well Bkk certainly hasnt changed much since the last time i was there.. this time we spent a lot more time shopping.. bulk of our time went to Platinum, MBK, Siam Discovery, Siam Paragon etc.. and of coz Chatuchak and Suan Lum Night Bazaar.

Typical BKK weather is hot and humid.. or wet and gross. When its hot and humid.. we were in Chatuchak.. im glad i brought a fan along! when it was wet and gross, we were at Suan Lum! It was pouring and the roofs were leaking.. the pavements were flooded and the shops were closing. We decided to brave the rain and run into the nearest cab possible... not expecting the roads to be filled with mid-calf murky water. It was actually quite a funny sight to see 4 girls running into the cab.. splashing the water at each other.

I think the best shopping experience was in Platinum.. airconditioned.. with Dunkin Donuts and "manly" beef noodles. who can ask for more? the prices of the stuff were a lot better than the bazaars.. just that im so sick of hearing them say "3 piece whole sale price..." "one piece no discount" luckily we travelled with 'helpful' shoppers who didnt mind getting an extra piece.

i think the next time i go Bangkok, i'll probably be spending most of my time in Siam XX shoppping centres and platinum.. never MBK or the bazaars!
