Today is the closing ceremony of the Malmo Festival! 6 of us headed down to Malmo early in the morning (not so early actually) and decided to explore the Malmo vincinity in greater detail.

We've already been to Malmo once ( for IKEA) but there's still so much to see. We first went to see the famous Turning Torso. The archi students must have been marvelled ( so was i ) by this master piece. The buildings here are really one of its kind and you probably will never get to see them in Singapore.

We headed to the Ribersborg Beach which has this beautiful field where dogs run free and people picnic for the afternoon. We were so 'inspired' that we too went to the nearby supermarket and bought some bread to have a mini picnic by the beach. It was so relaxing and enjoyable!

We walked on and discovered some Asian mini-mart and promptly bought some mee sua and tom yum paste. Always good to have on some cold and windy night... Well we continued walking.. walking.. walking.. Its amazing to see the distance we covered man. I never walked so much in Singapore...

We went to check out the Malmo Festival (city centre) where they had 2 or 3 amusement park rides (reminds me of the days back in Cedar Point!) , bumper cars and a dunking machine. We actually spent half an hour watching people come by to pay to dunk people. The interesting thing is the person is dunked into the Malmo canal, not the small tub of water we always use. There were a few rock concerts (in Swedish, totally didnt understand) and many stalls by the road selling food. Seems that Thai food is pretty popular here?

After a good dinner ( i had some yummy salmon fillet) we decided to seek refuge in the train station. I was so tired i almost fell asleep there ( i know steph did, she was swaying left and right) . Why didnt we go home? We wanted to stay to watch the annual fireworks. It was beautiful i tell u! The fireworks were right in our faces and there wasnt a huge crowd like back in Singapore.

By the time we got home it was already 1230am. Gosh im so tired my feet are aching like mad and we are still going Helsingborg tomorrow! Shall update again later.
